What’s RD500 about radiolocation equipments?
The RD500 is a very versatile radiolocation equipment that works under the principle of generation of pressure waves, essentially this work in low, medium and high pressure plastic pipes used in the distribution network of drinking water, irrigation water or system against fire; among others.

What kind pipe-material detect RD500?
But not only in PVC and Polyethylene plastic pipes, it also has a potential use in concrete pipe networks where it works very well. The RD500 is designed to operate at pressures between 20 and 160 psi (1.5 – 11 bar).

Also when used properly, the RD500 locates and tracks non-metallic buried water pipes with very high precision. Its only limitation is that it should not be used for long periods of time or in old and / or poor quality plumbing systems.
It is important to note that conventional radiolocation equipment is not reliable in detecting plastic pipes for water networks.
