Every day with more frequency when PROJECTS RF USA proceeds to perform an Underground Locating or Utility Locating Services, it encounters a lot of misinformation of our clients. Through experience, we has developed the Best Practices in the Planning, Execution and Delivery of the service we perform. That is why we have prepared the following service considerations. GENERAL

  • Consider the time of year and weather conditions.
  • Consider requesting a quote. If you want to request information or budget of the service go to our page CONTACT.
  • Take into consideration the area where the service will be performed must be clean, deforested, without water and without snow. See “The Weather: Challenge on Radiolocation”
  • Consider the impact on the operation of local RF sensitive systems while the service is being performed.
  • Consider and notify the possible risks and relevant data when executing the service. See “Analysis of risk at work”.

BEFORE SERVICE

  1. We recommend downloading and reading our Client Service Guide. This explains in clear and simple language how the Underground Utility Locating Service provided by PROJECTS R&F USA, Inc. works.
  2. We also recommend downloading and reading the Expanded Terms and Conditions of Service.
  3.  It is suggested to let us know the purpose of the service, so we will do a work focused on your need.
  4. The location work will be done by types of channeling (Water, Electricity, Gas, Fiber among others.)
  5. Cables, Pipes or Tank out of service are not detected.
  6. The presence of the client  or a representative is suggested at the time of performing the Service, to explain the details of the work to be performed.
  7. Before the service our team will recognize the area and if it is considered a photographic record prior to the service.
  8. Radiolocation equipment is equipment that works with RF, so it can interfere with local RF systems. Consider shutting down or suspending the operation of local RF-sensitive systems while the service is being performed. For more information see “RD8200 Cable and Pipe Locators”
  9. The demarcation of the underground services is carried out with a paint spray of color and quality suitable for this purpose with very low level of toxicity for life and five days duration. Consider the composition of these to avoid damage to third parties. For more information see “The paint we use in Utility Locating Services” or ask for information
  10. All waste derived from the service is our responsibility.
  11. Once the service is completed, we will deliver a Service Detection Report (SDR).

ON SERVICE REQUEST

  1. Provide Data: Name, Address, Telephone Number.
  2. Provide what type of installation: Industrial, Construction, Commercial, Residential.
  3. All the data to be supplied can be sent to us via email, SMS, WhatsApp, Social Netwoks or any other means. Go to CONTACT.
  4. Inform what is the objective of underground radiolocation based on your project.
  5. Indicate that services require that they be located: Water, Electricity, Gas, Communication, Sewage, Irrigation Water or any other indicated.
  6. Provide pre-service information that helps identify the channeling of underground services, such as: plan as built, diagrams, diagrams or sketches among others.
  7. Provide the area to which the service will be performed (Square feet of the area, Linear Feet).

Service Report

The service location tolerance is 1 feet to both sides, from the mark. Brand Tolerance Figure. If you have questions, check our website “The Marking Tolerance Zone for Buried Utilities”.

In the event that the Client, when carrying out the Excavation, does not find the Service marked by our Operator, CONSIDERING THE TOLERANCE, CONTACT US again, to go to the site and verify.

AFTER SERVICE

  1. We recommend downloading and reading our Client Service Guide. This explains in clear and simple language how the Underground Utility Locating Service provided by PROJECTS R&F USA, Inc. works.
  2. We also recommend downloading Expanded Terms and Conditions of Service.
  3. f you need to machine dig a distance less than or equal to 1 foot from the mark; dig by hand, to locate the service.
  4. The areas detected are those indicated by the client. In the staking, to make some change of the route, the client must call and inform the technician, to verify the new route. PROJECTS R&F USA is not responsible for excavation damage due to uninformed route changes.
  5. The duration of the brand (Painting) is guaranteed maximum for 5 days. If you have questions, check our website “The paint we use in Utility Locating Services” .
  6. The company is not responsible for utilities not disclosed by the Client, utilities not explicitly requested by the Client, Utilities previously marked by third‑party companies
  7. If there is no connection point and/or registration point, the plastic pipes are not located
  8. If drain field systems without county permits or as‑built drawings, it will not be located.
  9. The plastic pipes in the pool area are not located.

Notice is required in case of Utility damage (within 24 hours).
In the event that the excavator hits a buried service not marked by our locator, the Site Supervisor or the person who hired us should immediately contact our Service Coordinator, Eddison Rojas (919) 633-4743.
Projects R&F USA, will enable an Emergency Plan for immediate action, to approach the place of the event, and assess the damage, through our Technical Expert Service. Depending on the magnitude & responsability of the problem, will contact our Insurance Company.
In an immediate meeting, a field report will be drawn up with the Work Supervisor, the head of the Service and our Coordinator. And an agreement will be reached on immediate action to remedy the damage.
Projects R&F USA, will not recognize any costs in the event, where it is not communicated immediately (within 24 hours), that a service has been hit or broken by a bad Marking or by not having marked a Utility.
